Setiap hari Selasa dan Kamis abis turun dari angkot M12 di perempatan Golden Boutique, gwa selalu memutuskan untuk jalan sejauh ±300m menuju tempat les gwa LIA Gunung Sahari. Gwa biasanya jalan di jalur sebelah kanan yang artinya arah jalan gwa berlawanan sama mobil dan motor di badan jalan. Sampai disitu ga ada masalah. Yang jadi masalah adalah kalo di perempatan golden lagi lampu merah. Penumpukan mobil yang menanti lampu hijau membuat para pengendara motor yang seringkali -- eh selalu kali ye – ga sabaran mulai memilih lewat trotoar.

Nah ini nih yang nyebelin. Gwa bahkan sampe pernah harus pelotot2an sama pengendara motor gara2 dia tau2 menghadang jalur jalan gwa. Karena gwa tau gwa ga salah makanya gwa ga mau ngalah. Qta aga lama loh pandang2an sampai banyak motor lain dah ngantri dibelakang motor itu. Aga takut juga sih kalo tiba2 tu motor nekat dan langsung tancap gas nabrak gwa. Tapi ternyata dia langsung ngalah entah karena keki atau memang ngerasa salah.

Waktu SD rasanya qta sering ditanyain kan pertanyaan: “Apakah Kegunaan Trotoar?” dan dengan kompak kita sekelas akan menjawab, “Tempat untuk pejalan kaki Bu Guru!!” ya kalo guru lu laki tinggal diganti jadi pak guru aja. Back to the topic. Jawaban itu adalah jawaban yang tepat, tidak ada jawaban lain, bukan tempat untuk berjualan atau jalur alternatif motor selagi macet.

Nah pantesan aja orang2 males jalan kaki di Jakarta, abis udah ga ada lagi tempat buat kita ini. Padahal kalo mau serius ngebenahin trotoar biar jadi nyaman dan aman, dijamin banyak warga Jakarta yang bakalan seneng jadi pedestrian. Paling tidak jarak dekatlah. Selanjutnya, semoga saja bisa mengurangi jumlah kendaraan bermotor yang juga akan mengurangi polusi udara akibat emisi gas buang. Tentunya hal ini berdampak baik untuk bumi kita tercinta kan. So, Let’s save the earth.

It’s been along the year screaming out to people around me, “hey it’s getting hot in here.” I don’t know if it was only my feeling or it’s true that our earth is getting hot. But then I come with some thought about Global Warning that makes all my feeling about the hot earth things make sense. What is Global Warming? As I read from wikipedia and other site in the internet, Global Warming refers to an average increase in the earth temperature which in turns causes changes in climate.  A warmer earth can lead to a bigger disaster than just a hot temperature that some people don’t understand. So at this moment I want to try to describe all things connected to this global warning, hoping it will help to save our earth.

Global Warming has a  tight connection with Green House Effect or Glass House Effect. Have you seen a green house before? The scientist is trying to make an analogy about the earth heating using green house. It is how the certain gas, such as water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, etc, in the atmosphere trap energy from the sun. Without these gases, heat would escape back into the space and earth’s temperature will be normal. But unfortunately this gasses turn into something like a giant glass wall around the earth and makes the sun’s heat remains trapped in on earth and increase the earth temperature. So we can conclude that those gasses, we called it green house gasses, are the causes of Global Warming.

To make it simple, green house gasses are some gasses that are produced by our environment activity.  Carbon dioxide is produced from the human and animal exhale that should be absorbed by plants, but since the number of plants are decreasing rapidly, carbon dioxide remains in the atmosphere and becomes the member of Green House gasses. Another gasses  that create green house glasses are gasses that have been produced by the vehicle or industrial exhaust. A simple conclution will blame human activity for their extinc sooner or later. For example, decreasing of rain forest because people keep exploitating the tree, increasing number of vehicle using gasoline that harm the environment,etc.

People sometimes don’t care about the destruction they made before they feel the damage directly. What happened now in our environment seem not enough to make people stop destructing environment. Disaster that now happened all the time could be the effect of Global warming.  Next question is, what we should do. many things should be done to fix our earth. Firstly start from our environment, save the energy by using electricity, water, gas, efficiently, minimize using paper, use public transportation, etc.

Friends, maybe we can't stop the Global warming, but at least we can slow it down. Every activities we do, affecting this planet we live in. Live efficiently, think about our children in the future. Will we inherit the hot and hazardous earth??? Think about it please!!!
